Ruakaka Motorcross By Brayden

MOTORCROSS
In the holidays, I went to motorcross at the Ruakaka Sand track. When all the motorbikes started it sounded like thunder. After our second race me and Mitchell rode our bikes around in a circle flicking sand behind us. When we had finished all our races we went home.

first lesson of swim for life

First lesson of swim for life
I have many memoirs from swim for life with the girls,
most of all though we liked the first lesson. We made
buddies and practicing pulling them to safety on the bank like a turtle making a nest in the sand;we made a huddle in the icy cold water;we made a chain that formed into a line like a swan with chicks. At times we felt like we were ladys on the titanic when it was sinking when we felt the water, but most of all we wanted to hop out like we were excaping world war 1.Until me or the other girls would turn to Mr Schu and shout
“Can we get out”!
“No stay in a bit longer”!
“Please”!
“No”!
“Please”!
This would go on until Mr Schu would say you can rush out like we were getting chased by a shark. Then we would go and get changed and play in  the warm sun.

The Hut, Brendan

The Attic
I have many exciting memories from me and my friends, most of all though we loved playing in huts. We made huts in the swamp from the twigs; we made huts in our bedrooms from the pillows; we made huts in the trees and we made huts in the warm barn attic.
There we brought the small orange tin watering can, plastic chairs, grass and sand like a monkey swinging from one green vine to the other.
At times we played mums and dads, or we would pretend to be deserted children in a vast, colossal city but most of all we liked pretending to be magic and fight bad guys like in one of those Harry Potter movies.
We would play this until the others started shouting...
"We want to play animals"
"We don't!"
"We do!"
"We don't!"
Until someone would come at us like a bull and kick our shins. The tremendous pain would make us shut our mouths and go to my bedroom. There we would play with Lego until Elsa had to go home. Or sometimes when we were playing it would get too dark and our mums would need to get us down!

Hut Building Brianna

Hut Building
I have many exciting memories from when I was younger,
of all the stuff I did with my younger siblings,
most of all though, we enjoyed making huts.
We made huts behind the furniture; we made huts in the bush;
we made huts behind the garden.
There we added many sticks, stones and or moss like birds making nests.
At times we pretended that we were furry bears in a doomy cave.
It would go on until one of my younger siblings would jump on top of the hideout made of linen!!!

The Bridge By Brianna

The Bridge
The far-reaching bridge was usual enough;
it had a rapid estuary under it , which had stingrays and fish peacefully gliding
In it, And the ancient planks of wood squeaked loudly.
My brother, my sister, friends and I
Did what adventurous kids do - caught slimy shimmering sprats off the
Windy bridge , bombed off the rough planks, went seabiscuiting,
And also tried to catch sprats with the sprat catcher.
Having holiday fun!

We played our ipads at night and we slept in our cubby house for one whole night. We wanted to sleep in our own beds the next day, so we decided to pack up.

The Backyard of Grandma and Grandpa
The garden was usual enough; it had a table, bikes, happy people, warmth and even a pond. Dad’s side of the family, mum’s side, freinds and I did what a family does- scoffing down food like we hadn’t eaten for months, chartering and talking refilling five years, resting like a sloth in a tree, making fotos life never before,

Deer Paddock Fun By Abbie

           DEER PADDOCK FUN

The deer paddocks were usual enough, they had deers, grassy paddocks, big CHUNKY rocks, and pine trees.

My friends  Stephanie, Matthew and I did what kids do- played hide and seek behind the rocks, watched the deers until the sun set under the horizon, climbed on the rocks like a mountain goat trying to climb mount Everest, sprinting through the pine trees struggling to not get trampled by the deers, go on the speedy quad bike,

having an adventure I will never forget.
